Kelly is a writer and a teacher who resides in eastern Pennsylvania with her husband and her son. With a myriad of interests and a lifelong passion for writing, she became a freelance writer in 2004 after realizing that it was one of two goals she hadn't achieved. In 2007 she acheived this goal when she signed the publication contract for her first book.
Having graduated with honors from Moravian College, she holds her BA in English as well as her level II teaching certification in secondary education. From there, Kelly moved on to acquire her Masters in Education from DeSales University, formerly Allentown College of Saint Frances de Sales. Her future educational plan is to earn her PhD in American Literature--the other of the two goals.
Kelly begins her mornings, and sometimes ends her evenings, teaching writing courses at Lehigh Carbon Community College. The rest of her working days are spent at her alma mater where she works part time as an English teacher for grades 7,8, and 9, and also as the school’s newspaper advisor and spelling bee coordinator. Teaching brings an energy and motivation to Kelly’s writing and allows her to focus her entire day on her passion: the written word. |
