Interesting Places
While the Civil War was interesting to me before writing this book, it has become even more fascinating thanks to a few friends I've met along the way. Below are some great places to visit and events to attend that bring the history off the pages. Don't just read about it, experience it! History ISN'T boring--look for the STORY.
If you have an interesting cite that you would like listed here, contact me.

Reenactments
There are Civil War reeanactments held through the year at various locations. Go out to see one. The camps are interesting, the soldiers love to talk to you about what they do, and the battles are exciting even for the most hesitant historian. This is a good page to start your search, but many local events are advertised by their hosts (campgrounds, parks, fairs, etc.) Plus, this site lets you learn a little more about what these men and women do and how much is involved in these true to life reenactments.

Can there really be "current" happenings on the Civil War front? Yes--they can be found at the Civil War News. Always an interesting read.
