Kelly is a writer and a teacher who resides in eastern Pennsylvania with her husband and her son.  With a myriad of interests and a lifelong passion for writing, she became a freelance writer in 2004 after realizing that becoming an author was one of two goals that she hadn't achieved.  In 2007 she acheived this goal when she signed the publication contract for her first book.

Having graduated with honors from Moravian College, she holds her BA in English as well as her level II Pennsylvania teaching certification in secondary education.  From there, Kelly moved on to acquire her Masters of Education from DeSales University, formerly Allentown College of Saint Frances de Sales.  Her future educational path is to earn her PhD in American Literature--the other of the two original goals.

Kelly teaches writing courses at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Salisbury Township Middle School.  She serves as the middle school's newspaper advisor and spelling bee coordinator as well.

Her passion for local history led her to become a predominantly non-fiction writer.  While Kelly enjoys writing essays and fictional pieces, researching and sharing history is not only her job but her hobby as well.  Often her son accompanies her while researching, and together they explore history.
